Both the engine and the propeller have been designed specifically for the aircraft though the engine has applications for other airframes and UAVs. Jabiru has sold over 2,500 aircraft and 7,500 engines throughout the world.
The Jabiru, with its comparatively long history in the Light Sport industry, has evolved to a very comfortable and predictable cross country aircraft, with one of the best safety records in the industry. This is documented by data compiled by both the Australia Transport and Safety Board ATSB and Aviation Consumer Magazine.
